august 24th...........giggles...........................

So today marks the day when both boys learned how to giggle. It happened this morning as I was changing Nathaniels diaper and I started tickling him and he let out a giggle. I could not believe it!!!! It is not the full fledge laughter but I have a feeling that is right around the corner. My mom was able to get Nicholas giggling although I have not personally witnessed him yet. The boys and I took a little road trip up to Virginia for my cousins bridal shower that I was helping out with. The travels were not as delightful as I thought it would have been. So as we head back to Raleigh, NC tommorow I am praying and keeping my fingers crossed that we will have safe and QUIET travels back to Charleston. The boys were able to meet all kinds of friends and family this weekend and as of today met their 4th cousins, which was pretty cool. They also met their Auntie Tina today whom I have known since middle school. I will be posting pictures once I safely arrive home. Love and blessings to all.

updates

Just an update in our world......the boys are continuing to grow each and every day! They are now really smiling and cooing. I really think that Nathaniel will surpass Nicholas in growth. Ken and I call Nathaniel our chunky monkey as he is really starting to beef up. Nicholas is changing more every day and has changed so much in looks from the time he was born. Nicholas has a hemangioma on his forehead for those of you who were wondering. This is very common in infants and will disappear completely hopefully by the time he is one year of age. That is what his pediatrician has stated but other websites state that it could take up to five years to be completely gone so we shall see!!
It is so neat to talk to the boys and have them wanting to respond to you! They have recently started liking "bath time" but they both still do not like getting undressed or dressed. This really upsets them but little do they realize that this is something we must do daily and sometimes more than daily :) They recently have been kicking their legs alot and moving alot during feedings which makes it a little difficult on mom. They have an appointment on Monday so we will definitely keep you updated as to their weight and growth!
We took our first road trip to Asheville while Miss and Dave were here. The four hour road trip took six hours, due to feeding, changing, burping and of course the adult stops! Not too bad for the first road trip that was named "Nick and Nate's Big Adventure". It was Grandpa Chapman's 92nd birthday! It was so much fun to be with all the family. We were able to get a cousin shot of Clay, Mason, Nicholas, Nathaniel, and Mia with Grandpa Chap. It was a heck of a good time!
Well, a fellow twin mom, Kerry was so nice and brought dinner over so I must go take it out of the oven. Enjoy the pictures. These are older pictures but will post newer ones when I get a moment.
Love to all,
Nichole
