Update.....

Hi all!
I really spologize that I have not updated this site. Ken and I have been extremely busy with company, still organizing the nursery and washing/folding clothing!!!!

Ok, so an update on whole gallbladder issue or so I thought it was a gallbladder issue. Dr. Gregory started me on Nexium as a trail and errror test. Well, after a week and a half I noticed that my symptoms seemed to lessen. I still had the pain in the right upper quadrant of my abdomen but then I started to feel more of a nerve pain. It is almost as if my symptoms transformed into another symptom. (Crazy as it sounds!!) So I went to Dr. Noble who seemed baffled by all my symptoms and especially now that I was having more nerve pain on the upper portion of my abdomen. He seemed to think I am having m usculoskeletal issues along with nerves that have been stretched to the max. He did prescribe me neurontin for that discomfort which I only take if I absolutely cannot stand it anymore. So that is where we stand right now on that! I am just praying that any discomforts I am experiencing now will go away after pregnancy.
One of my best friends, Suzanne came down to visit us here in Charleston along with friends from Vero Beach, FL (Sean & Jen). We were so excited to have them visit and wanted them all to stay longer but we are grateful for the time we had!
Some of you may now know I have been having contractions and know mmost of what has been going on but some of you may not. I started having, what I thought was contractions on Sunday night. Tried sleeping through the night which was unsuccessful, so neeedless to say I went back to bed after I got Ken off to work. I slept until probably almost 1 pm, and yes I was exhausted!!! I started feeling more contractions which prompted me to start timing how long they lasted and to see if there was a pattern. There was not really a pattern so I almost did not call my dr, but the pain was starting to get mroe intense which is why I chose to make that phone call. The nurse Susan told me to come right in. Upon arrival they hooked me up to all kinds of wires, a test that is called the non stress test which monitors the contractions and how the babies are doing while contractions are occuring. Sure enough, the dr. walked in and said "Oh yes mam you are contracting and I think we are going to transfer you to the hospital." I got to the hospital which is when they hooked up the IV fluids and started a medication called procardia. Procardia did not fully stop the contractions so I was given terbutaline (sp?) which is AWFUL!!!! It makes your heart race and your whole body is jittery...... not to mention it made me cranky! But, I must say it does stop the contractions. My overnight hospital visit was not the best, but I am just hoping that I arrived on a weird night. There were 2 other mothers of twin boys in there as well along with me trying to get their contractions stopped. I think twin pregnancies are in the water down here so be careful when visiting :) My contractions never fully went away but my cervix was fully closed and 50% effaced. I was so thankful to go home and just crawl into the confort of my own bed!!!! My cousin Jennifer, her daughter Savannah and my mom all came down which was perfect timing. They have been a huge help as I was released to go home on bedrest.
I have an appt. tomorrow to see how much the boys have grown and to do the non stress test again. I will hopefully post tom. if I am not too tired.
Love to you ALL!
Nic, Ken, Bella (our four legged dog) and the boys
